The Harbour School 5th Grader Claims Gold in International Art Competition

Gianina Guo, a 5th-grade student at The Harbour School, has claimed the Gold Award in the Kentucky International Youth Art Competition (KYIA) for her artwork titled Seahorses.
The competition, which involved a thorough jury selection process, recognized Gianina’s piece for its creativity and technical skill. Seahorses was selected as a finalist and was displayed at the Kentucky Folk Art Center at Morehead State University in Kentucky, United States, from November 10, 2024, to January 15, 2025.
The Gold Award was given in recognition of the artwork’s exceptional quality and originality. The piece was praised for its dynamic composition, bold use of color, and creative texture techniques.
