On 25 September 2025, THS Grade 2 students Archie Gao, Julian Lim, and Julian Loy, along with Grade 5 student Oliver Lim, earned the Silver Award at the National Treasure Youth Speaks competition, organized by the Sunshine International Education Association and held at the prestigious Hong Kong Palace Museum.

The National Treasure Youth Speaks competition encourages students to explore and express the cultural significance of China’s heritage through research, public speaking, and storytelling. Participants deliver speeches in Mandarin from the perspective of a “dialogue with a national treasure,” with this year’s themes including iconic artifacts such as the Terracotta Army and the Jadeite Cabbage.

Competing alongside students from across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, THS students demonstrated impressive collaboration, cultural literacy, and presentation skills. Their achievement reflects the school’s emphasis on fostering confidence, curiosity, and real-world learning experiences.
