The Harbour School (THS) strives to provide all students with a wide range of educational opportunities and experiences that will serve to enrich their school lives and help their individual development, after school hours. THS aims to offer the best coaching and instruction possible, emphasizing participation, collaboration and most of all, fun! All students around Hong Kong are welcome to join an activity of their choice and explore their full potential and creative selves in a safe and fun filled environment.

New S.A.I.L. (Specialist Activity in Language) courses are on offer!

To further enrich and support students’ language learning experience, THS is proposing to offer an all year round S.A.I.L. course for Mandarin and French learners of all levels. S.A.I.L. courses are S.E.A. courses offered by our Language team teachers and Specialist teachers from THS. An immersive approach will be adopted to incorporate the target language into different Specialists’ teaching. Each term the course will incorporate a slightly different focus with different themes.

Fencing is a sport that can be enjoyed by any person of any age or sporting ability. Due to the “linear” nature of the sport, children who struggle with conventional school sports such as rugby and football often excel at fencing as it places different demands on the brain and body. ​

*S.A.I.L. (Specialist Activity in Language) course*

This S.A.I.L./LEAP program is a Chinese Literature Program for students who qualify for the Advanced / Near Native stream, and whose families are committed to extending Chinese language at home.

To further enrich and support students’ Mandarin learning experience, THS is offering an all year round S.A.I.L. Mandarin course for learners of all levels. S.A.I.L. courses are S.E.A. courses offered by our Language team teachers. This pilot S.A.I.L.xLEAP program aims to demonstrate proficiency through speaking/writing competitions, and develop cultural appreciation and context for Chinese culture through a variety of literary genres such as poetry, art work/musical analysis, folklore, mythology, journalism, novels.
