Global Classrooms
The Global Classroom program offers students the opportunity to apply for credit-bearing courses ranging from 1-6 weeks in length that take place, in part or in full, outside of Hong Kong.
These experience-rich modules are designed to encourage students to see the world as their classroom, whether they embark on an excursion to southern France to paint landscapes that mirror the European movements they are studying, hike the Camino de Santiago as they uncover the rich history of the pilgrimage route, compare the ecological environment of Hong Kong to that of a partner school site in New Zealand, or supplement an in-depth study of World War II with a trip to Poland to study with premiere Holocaust educators from around the world.
Students are not required to enroll in these courses to graduate but are encouraged to engage in at least one Global Classroom opportunity over the course of their high school career. The development of the Global Classroom initiative began at the end of the 2018-2019 school year with early offerings developed in 2019-2021. The targeted release date of these courses was Term 2 of this academic year but will be delayed given COVID-19’s impact on international travel. The first offerings will be released when global injunctions and safety concerns surrounding the pandemic have passed. Thank you for your patience!
