Mapping Your Program

At The Harbour School, there are many paths a student can take to earn their diploma and there are very few students who take the same path. Student choice is a unique feature of the program, but with that comes responsibility.

This section intends to equip families with the baseline information required to make good decisions when navigating the plethora of course choices on offer, and build a program that makes sense for the student. You will find information about our maths and science sequencing, the humanities, art and language programs.

There is much choice available to students with how to structure their credits and courses, however, we strongly recommend in Grade 9 that a student aims to complete 1.2 credits (3 terms) from each English, Mathematics and Science disciplines to set themselves up well for future years.

As a high-touch community, this section is just the beginning of planning out a 4year program. We highly recommend working with our Principals, College Counsellor and advisors to discuss individual plans further to unlock the best in every student.
